QuickBooks software users, if you need to merge two accounts on your chart of accounts:
Go to your chart of accounts and select the one you want to merge with the other. Right click to edit, and change the name in the top line to exactly the same name as the one you want to merge with. You will be asked if you want to merge. Both accounts must be set up as the same type (expense, income, etc.) if you are not asked to merge, you have not renamed it exactly the same.
Same method works for the vendors, and customers list merge.
